Wednesdays in July
Good Morning! Here’s what happened in the world of sports on Wednesday. July 23.
MLB
Sometimes baseball is simple- big stars hit the ball far:
Shohei Ohtani hit a home run for the FIFTH consecutive game and Tyler Glasgow struck out 12 Twins. A Freddie Freeman walk-off secured a 2-1 Dodgers victory.
I don’t know how Rafael Devers hit this ball hard, much less hit it over the wall. Devers smashed two homers and the Giants beat the Braves 9-3. Justin Verlander recorded his first official win of the season. Pretty crazy it took this long.
Yes, Rafael Devers hit THIS pitch out for a home run 😳

And congratulations to Bryce Harper on his 350th career home run! Unfortunately for Harper, the Phillies fell to the Red Sox 9-8 in 11 innings.
